CLOTHING IS NOT OPTIONAL

I need new clothes.

I have now lost the equivalent weight of a newborn calf and a mid size microwave to cook him in.

I have sewed my own, shopped thrift shops, used tailors, worn donated clothing, shopped at expensive boutiques and inexpensive mass market stores, and used catalogs and online stores.

I hate trying on clothes. I recall one time when I found clothes that I liked and fit and were reasonably priced at a store that has since gone out of business. I also had a personal shopper at a consignment shop that has closed down also.

I have a friend who gets many outfits in different sizes, buys them on her credit card and then takes them home to try on. She then returns the ones she doesn’t like for credit on her card. She also gets formal clothing for weddings and parties and then returns it after the event. This seems slightly illegal if not just plain wrong.

When I worked, I wore a uniform. Loved it.  There are no decisions to make. I can totally see why nuns wear habits

The first step is finding jeans that fit. There is this site CUSTOM JEANS
Then I can start building a new uniform.

What do you do about buying clothes that fit?

I’m ready to give up and get sweats in every color and just wear those all the time.
